Video Surveillance
Wind farms are generally located in isolated places, hardly reachable by owners or security force. Due to this particular drawback, the installation of a video surveillance system for the visual monitoring of each turbine's surroundings, in real time from a local control station or viewing a prerecorded footage, is needed.
A relevant feature of our system resides in the independent identification of alert situations and the consequent warning, reported by local sound signals placed in the supervision station (if placed right on the turbines, they are made audible by an amplifier). The supervisor is able to suppress warnings, to suspend the identification of alert conditions (to disarm the system) and to communicate directly with people nearby the tower through a speaker and a microphone positioned on the turbine.
